Hi! I'm Katherine.
I am a teacher and educational researcher. I love to help people reach their potential, and to investigate ways to do this effectively, and I'm delighted that several organisations are willing to fund me in this enterprise.
At the moment, I work full-time at the Institute of Education, which hosts the largest community of student teachers and educational academics in the UK. My project there is directed by two amazing role models, Jonathan Osborne and Shirley Simon, who have both made immense contributions to the science education of young people in the UK and beyond.
I also collaborate with many other educational communities:
Teach First - addressing educational disadvantage by transforming exceptional graduates into inspirational and effective teachers and leaders in all fields
European Schoolnet - an international partnership of more than twenty European Ministries of Education developing learning for schools, teachers and pupils across Europe
The Lighthouse Cradle - helping the most hard-to-engage members of our community acquire and develop basic skills for life, in a safe community environment
If you're obsessively interested in my life, you can see my CV here:
